Our facility is on a property that was very difficult to engineer because of the elevation on the site. Instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in retaining walls or excavation. Grove Associates engineered the existing property so we could build our Land Rover facility.

For several years you have provided South Middleton Township with your expertise in engineering and your opinions as a professional. I can think of numerous projects where the Township benefited from your work. In fact, our present residents and the Township’s future residents will benefit in ways they do not even know.

In the last five years, I have grown personally and professionally through interactions with you as the South Middleton Township engineer. I am not joking when I say that I am a better lawyer today because I worked with you over the past few years. I am sure that everyone, from the staff to every member of the Board of Supervisors feels the same.

I want to acknowledge the professionalism used in the process and procedures conducted by South Middleton Township for the land development plans of St. Patrick’s School.

Barb Wilson, Bud Grove, and the members of the Planning Commission handled a situation, not of their making, with clarity and cooperation. Without these folks going beyond the mandates of their responsibility, the final resolution might still be an elusive goal.

As a Supervisor of another Municipality, I am certainly aware of how fortunate you are to attract such talented and dedicated individuals to serve on behalf of the South Middleton Township.

Just a brief note to express my appreciation for your involvement in the re-paving of Kitszell Drive. From all outward appearances the road, as you predicted, looks like a “Cadillac” quality job – and the drainage, in general, appears to have with stood the deluge of Hurricane Danny.

It is very evident that if you and the township supervisors had not taken an aggressive role in our unique problem the end result well may have been disastrous.

I see from the newspaper that you will be leaving your township job. Any replacement will certainly have some “big shoes” to fill. Additionally, the residents of Kitszell Drive are extremely glad that this project was completed under “your watch!”

I am writing to provide you with a reference for Bud Grove and his firm, Grove Associates. I have personally had occasion to work with Bud for approximately 15 years in various capacities as solicitor for two townships in which he has served as Municipal Engineer and in many other transactions involving his work as an engineer and a surveyor for zoning and land development matters.
